Hotel interior designers and furniture makers in Bhopal
Paridhi Furniture designs hotel interiors and makes the furniture in our own workshop in MP Nagar, Bhopal: guest rooms, lobbies and restaurants. One team draws it, builds it and installs it, so the design and the furniture arrive to one schedule. We have made furniture in Bhopal since 1991.

What we design and make for hotels
A hotel is judged on consistency and on how it wears: the fiftieth room has to match the first, and all of them have to look right after years of daily use. That is easier when the people who draw the room also make what goes in it.
- Room layouts and design
- Layouts, materials, colours and finishes, drawn and agreed before anything is made.
- Guest room furniture
- Beds, headboards, wardrobes, desks, luggage racks and bedside tables, to one specification across every room.
- Reception and lobby
- Reception counters, lounge seating and coffee tables for the first thing a guest sees.
- Restaurants and cafes
- Booth and loose seating and tables, with removable panels so a worn section can be re-covered in place.
- Conference rooms
- Conference tables with power and data planned in, and matching storage.
- Furniture repairs
- New foam, re-upholstery and re-polishing for the furniture you already own.
- Installation
- Delivered to an agreed schedule and installed by our own team.
- Civil, electrical and false ceilings
- Planned into the drawings, and coordinated with your contractor so that wiring and lights end up where the furniture needs them.

Interior design for new and existing hotels
New hotels
Furniture usually goes in last, after flooring, wiring and painting, so it is easy to leave until it becomes the thing the opening waits for. Bring it into the plan early, while sockets, lights and room layouts can still change, and agree delivery dates against your opening date.
Refurbishing a hotel that stays open
Rooms that are closed earn nothing, so the work can be done area by area, a floor or a wing at a time. Agree the order with whoever runs the front desk, and keep what is still sound: re-upholstery and re-polishing often save furniture a full replacement would throw away.
Small hotels, lodges and guest houses
With few rooms, each one has to work hard. Built-to-measure joinery fits small and odd-shaped rooms that ready-made furniture cannot, and a single good room design, repeated, keeps the cost and the housekeeping simple.
Lobbies and restaurants on their own
If the rooms are in good shape, a reception, lobby or restaurant can be done alone. These are the spaces guests photograph and remember, and restaurant seating takes more daily wear than anything in a room.
How to plan a hotel guest room
Start from the room size
Measure your typical room first, because it decides everything else. India's hotel star classification is voluntary, and its minimum room size rises from 120 sq ft at one star to 200 sq ft at five, excluding the bathroom. If you plan to apply, check the current Ministry of Tourism guidelines before fixing a layout.
Design one room, then repeat it
One approved design, repeated, keeps the cost down and makes later replacements easy. List your room types and the differences between them before anything is made, because changes after that are where hotel budgets drift.
Build for guests, not for owners
Guests drag suitcases, knock corners and put wet glasses on everything. Solid edges, hard-wearing surfaces and a proper luggage rack do more for how a room looks in three years than a richer finish does on opening day.
Plan for housekeeping
A room that is quick to clean is cheaper to run. Wall-hung units and raised beds let a mop reach underneath, and removable upholstery panels mean a stain does not retire the whole piece.
Fix power and data before the joinery
Decide where guests will charge a phone, plug in a laptop and find the light switch from the bed. Sockets are cheap to plan and expensive to move once the headboard and desk are made.
Keep something back for repairs
Ask for spare fabric and laminate from the same batch, and record the finishes. In a few years, matching one damaged piece is far easier with the original material to hand.
How a hotel project works
- Step 1
Send the brief
A floor plan, the number of rooms of each type, and your opening date or the dates you can close areas.
- Step 2
We visit and measure
We measure the rooms and public areas ourselves, and look at what can be kept.
- Step 3
Agree the design
Layouts, materials and finishes are drawn and agreed, with every item listed by room type and quantity.
- Step 4
Quote and schedule
You get a quote with a GST invoice, and the delivery schedule is agreed in writing before work starts.
- Step 5
We make it
Everything is built in our Bhopal workshop to the agreed specification. Ask about finishing one sample room first.
- Step 6
We install
Our own team installs on site, area by area where the hotel stays open.
How much does hotel interior design cost in Bhopal?
Hotels usually budget per room, but a rate per room tells you little until you know what it covers, so we do not publish one. Send a floor plan and your room count, and we will quote with every item listed, with a GST invoice.
Ask for a hotel quoteWhat moves the budget
- Rooms
- How many rooms there are, how many room types, and how much the design repeats.
- Scope
- Furniture alone, or the full interior with lobby, restaurant and coordinated site work.
- Materials
- Laminate or veneer, the plywood grade, the upholstery and the hardware.
- Schedule
- How soon you need it, and whether the hotel closes or stays open during the work.
What to check in any hotel furniture quote
- Every item listed by room type, with its quantity
- The board and plywood grade, not just the finish
- The fabric and hardware by name
- Who delivers, who installs, and on what dates
- What is left out, such as civil and electrical work
- A GST invoice, and what happens if something arrives damaged
Separate designer and supplier, or one team?
Each can be the right choice. What differs is who draws it, who makes it, and who answers when something does not match. These are the usual arrangements; ask any firm you are considering.
| Compare | Designer plus separate suppliers | Ready-made hotel furniture | Paridhi |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who draws it | The designer | Usually nobody; you choose from a range | Our own team |
| Who makes it | One or more contractors | A factory, often elsewhere | Our own workshop in Bhopal |
| Fit to your rooms | Good, if the drawings reach the maker | Standard sizes | Built to your measurements |
| If something does not match | Designer and supplier may point at each other | Depends on the supplier | One team answers for it |
| Repairs later | Find a repairer | Depends on the supplier | We repair and re-upholster |

Materials for hotel furniture
Hotel furniture takes far more use than furniture at home, so choose for wear first and finish second.
- Hard-wearing laminate
- The practical surface for rooms that turn over daily: consistent colour, easy to clean, and easy to match when you add rooms later.
- BWR or BWP plywood
- Stable and strong for carcasses. Use the water-resistant grades anywhere near a bathroom, and band every exposed edge.
- Commercial-grade fabric and vinyl
- Takes daily use far better than domestic upholstery. Tell us what your fire safety advisor or brand standard asks for before fabric is chosen.
- Hardwood frames and steel bases
- Heavier frames than domestic work, and powder-coated steel bases where chairs and tables take knocks.
- Soft-close hardware
- Hinges and runners are what guests touch every day, and the first thing to fail on cheap furniture.

Questions about hotel interiors and furniture
Do you design hotel interiors and make the furniture too?
Yes. We design guest rooms, lobbies and restaurants and make the furniture in our own workshop in Bhopal, so the interior design and the hotel furniture come from one team and arrive to one schedule.
How much does hotel interior design cost in Bhopal?
It depends on the number of rooms, how much the design repeats, the materials, and whether the hotel stays open during the work, so we do not publish a rate per room. Send a floor plan and your room count and we will quote, with a GST invoice.
How long does a hotel project take?
It depends on the number of rooms and on whether areas can close, so we agree the delivery and installation schedule in writing before work starts. Tell us your opening date at the first conversation.
Can you refurbish a hotel while it stays open?
Yes. Installation can be done area by area, a floor or a wing at a time, to keep disruption down and rooms selling. Tell us which dates each area can close.
What do you need from me to quote?
A floor plan, the number of rooms of each type, photographs if the hotel is already open, and your deadline. If you have a brand standard or an architect's drawings, send those too.
What is FF&E in a hotel?
Furniture, fixtures and equipment: the movable and fitted items in a hotel that are not part of the building itself. Beds, wardrobes, desks, seating and joinery are the furniture side of it, and that is the part we make.
Is hotel star classification compulsory in India?
No. The Ministry of Tourism's star classification is voluntary, and a hotel can operate without it. If you plan to apply, check the current guidelines before fixing room layouts, because they set minimum room sizes.
Do you work on hotels outside Bhopal?
We deliver and install across Bhopal and the surrounding Madhya Pradesh region, and for bulk and commercial orders we deliver further afield. Tell us where the hotel is and ask for a delivery quote.
Can you repair the furniture we already have?
Yes. We re-upholster seating, replace foam, re-polish wood and repair frames and hardware, including on furniture we did not make. Send photographs and we will tell you what is worth keeping.
