Furniture Repair & Restoration in Bhopal

Repair and restoration for wooden furniture worth keeping — loose joints, worn polish, damaged hardware and antique pieces, carried out in our Bhopal workshop.

Restoration is for furniture worth keeping: a grandparent's teak almirah, a carved chair, a dining table that has outlived three sets of chairs. The aim is to bring it back without erasing what makes it worth having — so the first decision is what to keep, not what to replace.

What this includes

  • Antique and heirloom restoration
  • Loose joints and wobbly frames re-glued and braced
  • Wood re-polishing and refinishing
  • Hardware, hinge and channel replacement
  • Free assessment before any work begins

Before restoring a piece

Old finishes can often be revived

Dull, ring-marked or patchy polish is frequently a surface problem. A careful clean and re-polish can bring the grain back without stripping the piece down to bare wood.

Choose the polish for how it will be used

French polish gives the traditional deep shine but marks with heat and water. PU (polyurethane) finishes are far tougher for everyday use. On a piece used daily, that choice matters more than the colour.

Termite and water damage come first

Wood that sounds hollow, crumbles or has swollen has to be assessed and dealt with before any refinishing, or the problem returns under the new polish.

Original hardware is worth saving

Brass handles, hinges and locks are often the hardest parts to replace like for like. Where they can be cleaned and refitted, they keep the piece looking right.

Questions about furniture repair & restoration

Can you restore furniture you did not make?

Yes. Most restoration work is on pieces made by someone else, often decades ago. What matters is the condition of the wood and the joints, not who built it.

How do I know if a piece is worth restoring?

Solid wood with a sound structure almost always is. Send photographs, including any damage and the underside, and we will give an honest view before quoting anything.

Will restoration change how it looks?

Only as much as you want. Some people want a piece to look new; others want its age left in. We agree the finish and the colour with you before any work starts.

  • Measured to your room

We look at the actual space first, so the piece fits alcoves and walls that are not quite square.

  • Made in our own workshop

Built by our own team in Maharana Pratap Nagar (MP Nagar), not ordered in from a catalogue.

  • We repair what we make

Sagging cushions and broken frames are repairs, not replacements — and we restore older furniture too.
